The flavors were unique. “This tastes like nothing I’ve ever tasted before,” said my companion. When pressed, he went on to describe the essence of the spinach, marinated artichoke hearts and the hollandaise mixing together to create a whole other flavor he’d never experienced. While he was enjoying that discovery, my taste buds were taking me back to my childhood.
By far the best breakfast place in Ventura county, blows eggs n things out of the water. The menu is creative and the spot is unique! You need to check it out

My new favorite restaurant in Camarillo! There are quite a few breakfast cafes in this town, but none as unique as the Zzyzx cafe. With it’s variety of my favorite breakfast, the Eggs Benedict, 80′s music, and modern but comfortable ambiance, this place is the place to go for a unique Camarillo experience. Being directly across the street from the train station, it has a great little view of the station against the backdrop of the hills.

I am really excited about Zzyzx Cafe. Camarillo is in need of a casual and friendly cafe with some good food – especially breakfast. I loved my eggs benedict and the chile relleno omelet has a nice little kick to it. It’s family friendly without being too cute – in other words, there is something to make everyone happy. And happy is what I was after my first meal at Zzyzx.

Food & service are top notch. Friendly staff and dining atmosphere. I ordered the Captain Crunch French toast and it was awesome. Lots of interesting items on the menu, something to suit everyone I’m sure; wish I could go back and try more of them.
